Robert Stults, Director

Mr. Stults is a professionally trained architect who became involved with early high-end CAD systems to support architects. Most recently, he has been developing a comprehensive understanding of the underlying business processes in a selection of clinical areas in a dozen or so VA Medical Centers and community based out patient clinics. His "field maps" provide a comprehensive description of the process of delivering healthcare and can be used as input to a workflow engine to assist in the reengineering of the VistA system.

Earlier in his career he spent almost 10 years at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, where he did research on Rich Media Services. After Xerox he spent a decade designing and developing leading edge applications and systems for a variety of prominent clients in the New York City area - especially telecom companies. He was responsible for understanding the real requirements of users of a modernized Customs and Border Protection system and designing a state of the art Selectivity and Targeting System.

Mr. Stults holds a BS degree from Yale and a MS degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
